The Challenge

Under the supervision of Lean Integration Director, the person’s main responsibilities are to Lead Continuous Improvement and Lean Culture deployment throughout Camoplast Solideal concentrating on production control and material flow.

Furthermore, he or she will:

  • Applies and monitor methodologies and programs to instill a safety culture at all Manufacturing sites, Service, Distribution, and Administrative facilities
  • Promote operations performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via Lean approaches and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Work closely with BU’s and sites to create a continuous improvement plan aligned on their operating plan and corporate goals
  • Partner with functional leaders, Business Unit and site managers to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Applies and monitor methodologies to support sites and installations in Lean concepts based on Lean Roadmap
  • Plan and assist in the execution of various Lean transformation Kaizen events targeted towards improving the operations
  • Act as an enabler in providing assistance and counseling as required to ensure that the Lean best practices are deployed and sustained after implementation
  • Supports CS Lean improvement through the organization of specific Lean events and best practice sharing forums
  • Provide Leadership / mentoring / training to all levels and functions on the use and practice of Lean methodology (ex.PFEP, VSMs) tools; along with QMS procedures
  • Assess team member and overall program leader performance to ensure their professional development
  • Administer safety, process, and product training sessions for Camoplast Solideal employees and customers
  • Facilitate quality, delivery, and customer service improvements for OE, wholesale, and end user customers
  • Act as a manager/coach with his employees in achieving their respective roles
  • Maintain and improve Quality Management System

Job qualifications and skills

  • Engineering or operations management BAC
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification and Experience (an asset)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience  in continuous improvment management and implementation in particular in material flow optimization
  • Experience as an Engineer or in operations management
  • Excellent Lean knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge in Material management  & Material flow optimization
  • Strength in EVSM and VSM mapping and has lead EVSM improvement activities
  • A3 methodology (an asset)
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Ability to coach, teach and train others in order to develop a Lean attitude
  • Hands-on experience - Proven Track Record

  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities
  • English/French
  • 30% minimum travel
